The Jerusalem United Church of Christ proudly welcomes you to our new web site! We are located in Trachsville the white church behind the Towamensing Fire Company on Route 209, on the left side of Church Drive. We always welcome new members to join our ministry and mission.
In the year 1845, the Lutheran and Reformed people of Towamensing Township, PA, felt the need for a church of their own. A building committee consisting of members from both sects, met and discussed plans. On June 1, 1848, the cornerstone was laid in place and the building of the first Union Church at Trachsville was begun.
Sunday School starts at 9:00 a.m. on September 16, 2012.
Classes are held for infants up to 4+ years old in the first floor Sunday School room of Jerusalem U.C.C. Parents, please be prepared to stay with your child during class time.
We have fun on Sunday mornings in a child-friendly atmosphere. This is the place where your children will learn to praise and worship their Creator through dance, song, marching, playing, finger plays, sign language, stories and art. On warm days in the fall, we plan to go outside to enjoy God's world, so bring along a carrier or stroller for infants and enjoy the day with us. (There is a changing table in the room for tending to your baby.)
